Supporting expansion and localization
Cytiva had distributed website, content, and brand ownership, which resulted in a poor brand experience and a lack of continuity across markets.
Cytiva wanted to maintain a consistent digital experience for all customers globally, while ensuring the possibility of tailoring to address specific market needs. With its disparate approach, local and global collaboration was challenging. Cytiva needed a digital platform that supported greater collaboration, rapid expansion, and easier localization.
An agile approach and a composable architecture
Cytiva is working with long-term digital services partner EPAM to migrate its online architecture to a composable approach built on Sitecore technologies. As well as using Sitecore Content Hub DAM to centralize its digital assets, the company joined the early adopter program for XM Cloud. Cytiva is incrementally replacing high-value content components, pages, and sections within its existing Sitecore XP site to enable an agile, phased deployment. This approach is helping the team rapidly deliver value throughout the migration.
Global and local flexibility enable better online experiences
Using Sitecore Content Hub DAM and Sitecore XM Cloud for rich content authoring and digital branding, Cytiva has rapidly launched 32 additional sites around the world. The transition has been supported by the introduction of a hybrid federation, which allows flexibility for large or small markets. With web, marketing, and content teams able to work more closely together across geographies, Cytiva is maximizing efficiency and has achieved a 900% improvement in the e-commerce experience.
